I’m Emily Paluska, the botanical artist behind Revery Paper Flora.
I have always been infatuated with the arts and botanical world as separate entities. I had no idea that someday my loves of both could be joined together. I never enjoyed the feeling of hurried joy when it came to fresh flowers. Creating paper flowers eliminated that. I am constantly inspired by what I see in nature but I don’t like to be limited by it. Handcrafting long lasting flora for posterity brings me great joy and I hope to bring it to others.
My business is named after this Emily Dickinson poem:
“To make a prairie it takes a clover and one bee, One clover, and a bee. And revery. The revery alone will do, If bees are few.”
I hope my work can transport you to a different time and place. Lilacs from your childhood home, hibiscus on your honeymoon or dandelions from your youth.
